My brother, my twin,\u201d Metcalf told CBS News on Wednesday after his judge-issued gag order was lifted. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a parent, you always want to protect your kids. And to hear my son and the fear in his voice. And I\u2019m not there to fix it.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jeff Metcalf spoke out about the bodycam video of his son\u2019s murder, which was played in court. <span class=\"credit\">CBS News<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The video was so harrowing that Anthony, now 19, squirmed throughout it, his eyes averting during the particularly graphic moments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>At one point, Anthony rubbed his eyes and his lawyer, sitting next to him, patted him on the shoulder and also quivered.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison and faces a parole review in 17 years \u2013 but Jeff believes the penalty should\u2019ve been life imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>He vowed he would be in court advocating against parole if he were still alive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I\u2019m still alive, yes, I will be there in person,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cIf not, I am going to make a video. And that poor boy is fixing to experience a life that I would not wish upon anyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cForgiveness was not for him. Forgiveness was for me. So I don\u2019t carry the rage, the hate, and that around; it will eat me up like cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony was transferred to the Wallace Pack Unit, near Houston, Texas, on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Austin Metcalf with his dad Jeff.  <span class=\"credit\">GoFundMe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jeff Metcalf scolded Anthony during an emotional victim impact statement, where he said, \u201cPeople think grief is sadness, it is not. It is rage. Pure unfiltered rage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He ordered the cowardly teen to \u201cdon\u2019t look down\u201d before issuing a blistering tirade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou failed your parents, you failed yourself, and you failed society \u2026 You don\u2019t belong in this community,\u201d he told Anthony. \u201cA piece of me died with my son, and I\u2019m expected to keep living.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to prison. I forgave you the day it happened. I don\u2019t forgive what you did,\u201d he added. \u201cYou can\u2019t look me in the eyes but you can stab my f\u2013king son!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony plunged the knife, a multi-tool with a serrated blade, into Metcalf\u2019s heart, leaving him with a 2-inch stab wound. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Anthony wearing a sleeveless shirt and sporting a shaved head. <span class=\"credit\">Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Anthony, a then-Centennial High School student, attacked after refusing to leave the rival Memorial High School tent at the meet. He refused to leave despite being ordered to 15 times.<\/p>\n<p>But protests erupted outside the courthouse during the trial, with supporters of Anthony claiming the trial was racist against a young black teen, who had acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was never about race,\u201d Metcalf said. \u201cIt is about right and wrong. The public\u2019s response sickens me \u2026 The moral decay is frightening.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Austin Metcalf posing alongside his twin brother Hunter.  <span class=\"credit\">Jeff Metcalf \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During the sentencing phase, the jury weighed the potential extenuating circumstances of \u201csudden passion\u201d \u2014 crimes committed in the heat of the moment that, in Texas, can mean lighter sentences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The jury deliberated for about three hours before delivering the guilty verdict Tuesday.
