city, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses using the platform are expected to pay $249 per month going forward, but Brown said it has been free so far. <\/p>\n<p>He also said the project could expand to other tourism destinations beyond Solvang.<\/p>\n<p>One major flashpoint was the app\u2019s original goal to limit participation to about 100 businesses, sparking concerns among some merchants that all local companies would not have an equal chance to benefit.<\/p>\n<p>However, the mayor said the number can change in the future. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image
