height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft wp-block-nypost-editor-partner-article-links\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A developing storm system in the Gulf will bring torrential downpours to\u00a0Louisiana\u00a0and other parts of the Gulf Coast beginning Friday and intensifying through the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>When there\u2019s an area of disturbed water in the Gulf during\u00a0hurricane\u00a0season, it can cause panic. <\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s important to note that there is no chance of this system becoming a\u00a0tropical depression\u00a0or storm, according to the\u00a0FOX Forecast Center.<\/p>\n<p>Although sea surface temperatures in the Gulf are up to 3 degrees above average, strong\u00a0wind shear\u00a0is ensuring that developing\u00a0thunderstorms\u00a0have no chance to organize.<\/p>\n<p>Even though tropical development is not expected, this system is packed with deep tropical moisture and will likely produce\u00a0coastal flooding, rough surf, and\u00a0rip currents\u00a0along the\u00a0Louisiana\u00a0and\u00a0Mississippi\u00a0coasts.<\/p>\n<p>Orange Beach in Alabama was closed to swimming on Thursday after city officials said life-threatening rip currents were already present along the Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Because the storms will be scattered, the potential for widespread flooding is limited. <\/p>\n<p>However, any individual storm could produce torrential downpours, where rainfall totals over 2 inches per hour are likely.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The regions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are expected to experience the heaviest rainfall. <span class=\"credit\">FOX Weather<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The\u00a0New Orleans,\u00a0Biloxi,\u00a0and\u00a0Gulfport\u00a0metro areas are among those most likely to see the heaviest rain, with storms peaking on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>If multiple storms track over the same area, more than 3 inches of rain and flooding will be possible.<\/p>\n<p>NOAA\u2019s Weather Prediction Center (WPC) has issued a Level 1 out of 4 flash flood threat for the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama Gulf Coast through Sunday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rain batters N Peters Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, with St. Louis Cathedral visible in the distance after Hurricane Ida made landfall. <span class=\"credit\">AFP via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The flood risk will expand into the Plains and Midwest over the weekend as more tropical moisture spreads across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, east-southeast winds with gusts up to 40 mph will pile up water at the coast, leading to dangerous surf, strong\u00a0rip currents,\u00a0and minor flooding during high tide.<\/p>\n<p>Coastal Flood Advisories have been issued from southeast Louisiana to the Mississippi coast for the threat of 1 to 2 feet of total water rise, which will cause flooding in low-lying parks and parking lots.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Flash floods threaten the south over the weekend, moving further inland by Sunday.  <span class=\"credit\">FOX Weather<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Much of the\u00a0Southeast\u00a0has seen several rounds of\u00a0soaking storms over the last two weeks\u00a0and could be vulnerable to additional\u00a0flash flooding.<\/p>\n<p>By Sunday, the moisture will have moved inland, where it will meet up with an upper-level disturbance tracking out of the Four Corners region.<\/p>\n<p>The two systems will combine to trigger numerous thunderstorms across the Lower and Mid-Mississippi valleys on Sunday afternoon across parts of eastern Kansas, eastern Oklahoma, Missouri and northwestern Arkansas.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
