height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft wp-block-nypost-editor-partner-article-links\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The\u00a0FBI\u00a0on Tuesday said 35 people had been charged for narcotics and firearms offenses stemming from a yearlong federal operation in West Virginia while also unveiling a new nationwide summer crime-fighting initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The bureau said FBI Pittsburgh and FBI Baltimore launched Operation Turf War in early 2025 alongside the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>The operation resulted in the seizure of illegal firearms and narcotics, along with the forfeiture of proceeds allegedly used to fund violent criminal activity, according to the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperation Turf War was this FBI answering the call of a community that needed it the most,\u201d\u00a0FBI Director Kash Patel\u00a0said in a statement to Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The FBI said 35 people in West Virginia were charged for narcotics and firearms offenses as part of Operation Turf War. <span class=\"credit\">FOX News<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis was a massively successful operation right in West Virginia with nearly three dozen individuals arrested using sophisticated techniques, confidential informants, and precise collaboration across the entire FBI enterprise with our partners,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Patel said the operation demonstrated \u201cexactly what partnerships are supposed to look like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He pointed to coordination among the Martinsburg\u00a0Police Department\u00a0SWAT team, Jefferson County SWAT and Homeland Security Investigations SWAT.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>FBI Director Kash Patel said agents confiscated drugs, firearms and illicit proceeds during the yearlong investigation. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The FBI also announced the launch of Operation Summer Heat 2.0, a renewed version of an initiative led last year by then-Deputy FBI Director\u00a0Dan Bongino\u00a0that the bureau said resulted in nearly 9,000 arrests nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The effort will run through Sept. 20 and focus on partnerships with\u00a0state and local law enforcement\u00a0agencies to combat violent crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the next 95 days, the entire country will see this FBI replicating these exact efforts across America with Operation Summer Heat \u2014 an extension of our work last year led by then-Deputy Director Dan Bongino\u00a0to crush violent crime,\u201d Patel said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The FBI also announced Operation Summer Heat 2.0 after last year\u2019s initiative led to nearly 9,000 arrests. <span class=\"credit\">FOX News<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just getting started,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FBI, last year\u2019s Operation Summer Heat resulted in more than 8,600 arrests, nearly 7,750 search operations, the seizure of 2,280 firearms and more than 44,560 kilograms of cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>The bureau said this year\u2019s operation will be conducted on a larger scale, with federal officials working alongside state and local partners to identify and disrupt violent criminals.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
