It\u2019s economic violence,\u201d Rep. Adelita Grijalva, D-Ariz., said during a\u00a0press conference\u00a0on May 21.<\/p>\n<p>Grijalva was joined by Reps. Yassamin Ansari, D-Ariz., and\u00a0Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who are backing Ansari\u2019s Reproductive Healthcare Leave Act, which is a part of her \u201cH.E.R.\u201d (Healthy, Equity, Rights) Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The Reproductive Healthcare Leave Act (H.R. 8158) \u2014 the flagship bill \u2014 would provide up to 12 days of paid leave per year for reproductive health needs, including severe menstrual pain,\u00a0abortions, menopause symptoms, miscarriages, biopsies, vasectomies and more. The \u201cH.E.R.\u201d Agenda also includes studies regarding\u00a0gynecological pain management\u00a0and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one should have to choose between their paycheck and their health to be able to manage that kind of incredible pain,\u201d Tlaib said during the press conference.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Reps. You\u2019ve got to pick a lane. You\u2019re very confusing to the rest of us.\u201d Rhode Island state Rep.
