Justin Correa explained that the mixture \u201cmay not have presented the way it did\u201d in a healthy adult, but for a child with pre-existing medical troubles could have caused \u201ca greater medical emergency.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dominick brought Patrick to USA Children\u2019s and Women\u2019s Hospital after he suffered a medical emergency allegedly brought on by the liquid he was fed, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After his death, medical professionals flagged the situation as suspicious based on Patrick\u2019s lab results.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Investigators claimed Dominick, 22, gave them conflicting stories about what happened that day.<\/p>\n<p>She allegedly admitted to feeding her vulnerable son a liquid \u201cleading to his death,\u201d the BCSO said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Baby Patrick died on May 5 after his mother brought him to the hospital.  <span class=\"credit\">hughesfuneralhome<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI do believe that she did know that this would harm the child,\u201d Baldwin County Chief District Attorney Assistant Teresa Heinz told Cleveland 19 News.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Patrick\u2019s obituary, he \u201cwas full of joy and found magic in the smallest details of the world around him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His mother was released from custody on a $75,000 bond on Thursday, according to online records.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She is on GPS house arrest and cannot contact anyone under the age of 18.
