In this case, they replace the conventional vented engine cover with a custom hatch that also serves as a tailgate and rear fender widening to complement the rest of the widebody treatment. The resulting car appears quite elegant, with a longer and more usable profile that is reminiscent of a smaller Panamera Sport Turismo while maintaining all of the proper 911 proportions. The good news is that rear passengers now have additional headroom, and storage space behind the seats has increased, allowing you to fit gear, luggage, or even a dog without sacrificing any of the fundamental 911 driving experience.
