In a normal society, you don\u2019t have to have security cameras on your locked fence. It\u2019s a government failure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>He said the robbers must have had special equipment in order to cut the chain of his fence and retrieve the critical materials. <span class=\"credit\">CA Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Scott is supporting Spencer Pratt in the mayoral election, who he says will bring a \u201ccommon sense approach to the problems LA has.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another Palisades resident, 65-year-old Nina Madok, said she\u2019s been robbed before and isn\u2019t surprised by the recent crime. She says it\u2019s grown so frequent that she\u2019s urged her fellow residents to pile crime information into a spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, it\u2019s to be expected in a city where our law enforcement is not empowered to deter a crime,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t think our law enforcement feels like they can do anything about it, even though we have laws like Prop 36 that have been passed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A local Palisades builder, Reza Akef, said some of the crime could be because builders aren\u2019t paying their subcontractors enough.<\/p>\n<p>He thinks some of the workers are taking it upon themselves to get more compensation, potentially in the form of the stolen materials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy boss didn\u2019t give me a bonus,\u201d Akef believes the thieves are thinking. \u201cLet me get my own bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
