When we learned this, we knew something was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tomich shared messages she exchanged with Richman, where she asked, \u201cWhere are you? Where are the kids right now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith me, I\u2019m driving,\u201d Richman supposedly replied before saying they were \u201ccamping.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The boys\u2019 dad Dane Richman has not returned them following a custody exchange.  <span class=\"credit\">Kate Walters \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tomich then revealed she arrived at the supposed meet-up location 15 minutes earlier than planned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the time approached, I began calling and texting him asking for an ETA. He did not respond. At, approximately 12: 01 p.m. is when I began to panic and when we called police,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Tomich\u2019s family lawyer, Brittany Skinner, then interjected, adding, \u201cAfter further investigation with the police, we learned that Dane\u2019s quit his job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s sold almost all of his possessions. He has left with almost everything he has, with the clear intention of not returning with these children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tomich\u2019s voice cracked as she begged, \u201cPlease, like, share, repost everything, share with your family, share with your friends, anybody you know, they could be anywhere. Please,\u201d revealing that her sons have \u201cinfectious smiles.. dimples and blue eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Tomich seen holding her two missing sons.  <span class=\"credit\">Kate Walters \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Richman has been charged with custodial interference, a third-degree felony, but authorities fear he may have crossed into Mexico, KTVX reported.<\/p>\n<p>Cops suspect Richman was likely in Carlsbad, California, on May 18 \u2013 and crossed the border the following day.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said \u201cThere is concern for the safety and well-being of the children as the suspect has been seriously depressed, selling possessions, facing financial stress, and abandoned his home,\u201d as they issued the Amber Alert.<\/p>\n<p>But when cops were carrying out the welfare check, it\u2019s since emerged they stopped a \u201cmoving truck,\u201d Katie Walters, the brothers\u2019 aunt told KTVX.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had completely moved out of his house that the children were supposed to be living in, and the moving truck was just actually pulling out\u00a0of the driveway, and the police were able to stop\u00a0the moving truck, and they asked what\u2019s going on,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey said they didn\u2019t even know\u00a0because they never even saw the owner of the home\u00a0while they were there.\u00a0They only were communicating via text.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing Richman, she said, \u201cTo Dane, just please be safe.
