Memorial Weekend of BBQs, birthdays and beach time have instead spent \u201dthree days in hell\u201d after being evacuated for their Garden Grove home \u2013 and left them suffering crippling symptoms <\/p>\n<p>Miguel Loo, who turned 31 Sunday, and his wife-to-be Brittany Guibert were shocked to be told on Friday that they\u2019d have to leave their mobile home, which is just a mile and a half from the couple, and their Frenchie Pug \u201dWednesday\u201d \u2013 and began to feel the effects of the chemicals. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started to feel horrible headaches right away,\u201d Loo, who is a bartender in Newport Beach, said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>With few options to sleep, the trio and their pooched headed to the Liberty Hall shelter in Fountain Valley, which is being run by the Red Cross. <\/p>\n<p>They arrived about midnight to find food and water available, but no beds. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if I would have been able to get a bed I don\u2019t think I\u2019d have been able to sleep, all you could hear were kids crying and people snoring,\u201d Loo said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Loo celebrated his 31st birthday on Sunday. <span class=\"credit\">Rafael Fontoura for CA Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He described a horrific scene at 4am scene of people sleeping outside the shelter on the grass, or in in tents, with coyotes roaming the area.  <\/p>\n<p>Inside, the beds were packed closely together and all the portable bathrooms were set up outdoors.<\/p>\n<p>After just a couple hours of restless sleep, all three woke up to continuing \u201cthrobbing headaches\u201d, but headed back to their home to grab some essentials, including medication for Guibert\u2019s mother, who suffers from several ailments.<\/p>\n<figure couple was also worried about being robbed after they heard looters had been roaming the evacuated neighborhoods. <\/p>\n<p>They secured the home and grabbed \u201cimportant documents.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Loo said the headaches got worse after going back.<\/p>\n<p>Later that day the evacuees decided to find a hotel room, not an easy task given the skyrocketing cost due to 50,000 people without a place to sleep. <\/p>\n<p>After hours of searching online they found the last room in an economy hotel about a mile and a half from the evacuation zone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt cost over $700 for two nights, and that\u2019s with the AAA discount,\u201d Loo said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The evacuated streets near into their wedding fund to make it happen. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were hoping for a small Cancun destination wedding, but now we\u2019re not sure,\u201d said Guibert.<\/p>\n<p>Even more troubling for the couple is what the future holds. They have no idea when they can return to their home and can\u2019t afford to stay in a hotel any longer. \u201cWe\u2019re just taking it day by day,\u201d Loo said.<\/p>\n<p>His 31st birthday came and went with a \u201cbrutal headache\u201d and without the BBQ that his fiance had planned for him, the family, and Wednesday.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Loo took it in stride. \u201cNot the worst, not the best, but we\u2019re ok,\u201d he said as he got the dog ready for a long needed walk<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a class-action lawsuit seeking accountability has been filed against GKN Aerospace.<\/p>\n<p>The X-Law Group P.C. and Presidio Law Firm filed the lawsuit over the weekend on behalf of Garden Grove residents that claims the firm failed to properly protect the community from the hazardous material.<\/p>\n<p>Stephanie Klopfenstein, the mayor of Garden Grove, warned homeowners who have remained that it was a \u201cvery dangerous situation\u201d and they should flee now.<\/p>\n<p>California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency last week after the danger area ballooned into nearly 10 square miles across Garden Grove, Anaheim, Stanton, Cypress, Buena Park and Westminster \u2014 uprooting as many as 50,000 people \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- \u603b\u5bb9\u5668\uff1a\u6700\u5927\u5bbd908px Grid\u7d27\u51d1\u5e03\u5c40 -->\r\n<div style=\"display: grid;
