height: 750px; background: #ccc; display: grid; place-items: center;\">\r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e2\" data-zoneid=\"5876678\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  \r\n  <script async type=\"application\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/a.magsrv.com\/ad-provider.js\"><\/script> \r\n <ins class=\"eas6a97888e6\" data-zoneid=\"5876682\"><\/ins> \r\n <script>(AdProvider = window.AdProvider || []).push({\"serve\": {}});<\/script>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Bone-chilling new security video captured a 31-year-old maniac stalking a trans University of Washington student inside an off-campus housing laundry room \u2014 just minutes before he allegedly stabbed the victim 40 times.<\/p>\n<p>The creepy clip shows Christopher Leahy going in and out of the laundry room at the Nordheim Court student housing complex in Seattle on May 10, until he\u2019s left alone with 19-year-old Juniper Blessing of New Jersey \u2014 at which point he allegedly unplugged the camera and stabbed the coed to death, KOMO-TV News reported.<\/p>\n<p>The King County Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s Office also released additional surveillance videos that allegedly show Leahy trying to open doors in several homes in the neighborhood earlier, the outlet said. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Newly released video appears to show Christopher Leahy stalking Juniper Blessing before the fatal stabbing. <span class=\"credit\">KCPAO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cPolice indicate that there were attempts by the defendant to try to enter private homes in Ravenna in the days before the homicide,\u201d Casey McNerthney, a rep for the prosecutors\u2019 office, told KOMO. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was at least one other campus building that police say he attempted to get into before the death of Juniper on the 10th,\u201d McNerthney said. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Leahy, who is not enrolled at the school, turned himself in to police on May 12 after cops released security camera photos of him at the scene, and is now charged with first-degree murder.<\/p>\n<p>The newly released footage shows Leahy entering the laundry room behind another student around 9:45 p.m., and then abruptly leaves \u2014 only to return around 10 p.m., when Blessing is seen sitting on the floor in front of one of the dryers, with a male student standing nearby.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Juniper Blessing, a trans college student from Princeton, New Jersey, was killed on May 10. <span class=\"credit\">The Human Rights Alliance of Santa Fe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Nordheim Court  student apartments near the University of Washington campus in Seattle.  <span class=\"credit\">Seattle Police Department<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Leahy looks directly into the camera as he enters, but again quickly exits the room with the male student walking out behind him, leaving Blessing alone in the room.<\/p>\n<p>King County prosecutors said Leahy then returned again and unplugged the security camera. <\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said Leahy \u201cappears to follow the path of the power cord with his eyes and head from the camera around the wall above the doorway,\u201d according to KOMO.<\/p>\n<p>Minutes later, another student walked in and found Blessing bloodied on the floor and called 911.<\/p>\n<p>Leahy had been due in court Thursday, but the hearing was delayed after his lawyer asked for more time for mental health evaluations, according to reports.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Christopher Leahy allegedly unplugged the security camera, but not before he gave cops a perfect mug shot. <span class=\"credit\">Seattle Police Department<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The victim\u2019s family said the college student was born Michael Carneiro da Cunha Blessing in Princeton, New Jersey, and moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2018, and attended the New Mexico School of Arts until 2024, according to a statement later released by the Human Rights Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur family has been shattered by the loss of our child, Juniper Blessing, to an act of unspeakable violence near the University of Washington campus in Seattle,\u201d the statement said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cJuniper was simply the most amazing human being we have ever known \u2013 highly intelligent, extremely talented, and deeply sensitive to the needs of others.
